Submission Guidelines
Conscious Dancer accepts and encourages the following submissions:
a) a story that you have already written and would like us to consider for print or web. (Previously published work may be accepted; please tell us where and when it’s been published.)
b) a story idea and a writing sample.
c) a lead paragraph and an outline of the proposed work.
We also assign topics to writers with whom we develop relationships. Such articles generally draw on the writer’s areas of passion or expertise. We are keeping track of preferred subject matter and geographical location for all interested writers. Good photos are also appreciated. Articles range in length from 100–250 words for “Warm-ups” to 1,500–2,000 for full-length features. So, tell us a little bit more about yourself, something about what you have to say, and why you want to write for Conscious Dancer. Samples are best sent as Word docs, or in the body of your email.
Write for our readers! Two more ways to get involved, let our readers guide our editorial decisions.
Post your articles in our ‘Writers Corner’ forum at http://www.consciousdancer.com/forum.
Our partner directory site, http://www.movingartsnetwork.com is a highly trafficked site with a good articles section as well.
Articles posted in either place that receive a number of positive comments will be given primary consideration for print.
E-mail all editorial correspondence to mark@consciousdancer.com
Thank You!
