Join bodyworkers and yoga teachers, Tama & Ellen, for an immersion into the world of touch and movement. Learning to give adjustments during asana is a vital part of becoming a beloved & highly effective yoga teacher.

As you develop these skills you move from being an instructor to a teacher and a healing presence in the studio.

Students need adjustments and assistance for different reasons. This course will help you to assess your student's needs and how to best assist them. We will cover:

* Ethics of touch

* Cultivating touch

* Making contact

* Anatomy and alignment

* Asana adjustments

* Partner yoga

This course is designed to give you confidence in relating to others. It is aimed towards yoga teacher and also for those practitioners who want to learn. Open to everyBody, at all levels of practice and experience.

Whether taking this as a personal dance retreat or for professional training, you'll appreciate the the blend of disciplines and styles to create focus and fluidity.Tama & Ellen have collaborated in creating an ecstatic dance vinyasa that includes an African Dance Kata (routine).  We will share this form once a day throughout the entire retreat, for those interested in learning a framework they can add to.  This class will be followed by the facilitator's module:  sharing information/knowledge transfer.  Four afternoon sessions will be led by students who work in pairs or teams to create a class, with verbal feedback after class and optional filming for visual feedback.
