Cheb i Sabbah Devotion

DJ Science is a term coined by Cheb i Sabbah, one of the first DJs to emerge from New York’s club scene four decades ago. Cheb merges Indian spiritual traditions with rhythmic grooves and turntable wizardry, drawing from three musical traditions—Hinduism, Sikhism, and Sufism. His magic comes from reinventing these traditions, with great care and joy, for today’s audience. Highlights are the vocals, with singers like Riffat Sultana, Rana Singh, and Master Saleem.
