modalities on the move

Written By:

NIA and Biodanza are spreading internationally, tapping into a universal need for meaning, human connection, and authentic experience.

BIODANZA was developed by Chilean anthropologist and psychologist Rolando Toro in the mid-’60s. This method works with music, movement, and relationships to create joy, facilitate genuine expression, and support healthy growth in participants’ daily lives. Classes focus on themes related to vitality, creativity, affectivity, sensuality, and transcendence. Because the form captures a universal language of human experience, strong community bonds develop in the group; this technique has been shared with hundreds of schools in Europe, Latin America, and now in the U.S.
