In this exploration of people who have reinvented themselves in the realm of movement, we found that each of these movers and shakers offers us a new way of thinking, creating, and experiencing life. They provide seven examples of “work” as participation in cultural evolution. Careers that are not something we do, but something we are. Indeed, there are infinite possibilities for each of us, and each profile highlights the variation. But beyond this, we realize that there is an evolutionary resurgence of energy movement arts that is taking shape—a remembering and reclamation of sacred existence through connection to our bodies.
